Everyone Who Has Ever Worked With Ted Cruz Despises Him

This comes as no real surprise to me.
There's just something wrong with that guy.
He's allegedly smart...but if that's true, you certainly can't tell it by reading what he says nor watching him on the teevee.
He's also on my punch list, FWIW...

I guess the hypothetical hiring scenario was making an even further point by comparing him to a potential employee who, in addition to sharing his horrible qualities (arrogant, divisive, self-aggrandizing), had great qualities (totally well informed and precise) which Cruz doesn't have?

Or is Cruz thought to be very well informed and precise in his remarks?

I don't know a whole lot about him..but he did propose the abolition of the IRS and its replacement with a flat tax..

which is about as ill-informed and imprecise as it can get?

And he thinks the minimum wage somehow hurts the poor.

I've basically dismissed him as a total fucking moron. Is there some sort of actual popular sentiment to the contrary out there somewhere?

Mystic,

Those who have litigated against him in Texas say he is very bright and a very good attorney. I think two things are going on with him here:

1) He has a bit of general crazy as a born again Christian who grew up in the south and is a bit racist.

2) He know the people who will votes for someone like him are truly insane, so he plays up the characteristics from #1 because he knows his audience.

I'd say he isn't a serious candidate, but that's what I said about Trump several months ago and he continues to hang around so who knows. I would say I hope he is the Republican nominee so that the party can take a true ass whopping and hopefully realize the issue isn't the lack of "mobilization" of the base, but I'm terrified that the country just might be insane enough to elect him...
