The Peach on the Isla Vista Murderer

I think this is really good.

(Side effect warning: you'll start webcrushing on The Peach if you watch this)

Ugh, WTF is "True Force Loneliness"? That was painful to watch. I am embarrassed for humanity.

The Internet is a cesspool of unfathomable quality. I don't know how people manage to retain their sanity while subjecting themselves to this shit.

Her video was better than I thought it would be, but I'd put it at average in quality. She made some obvious points, but didn't do much beyond that. I hadn't seen a single clip from his videos (just read portions of the "manifesto" before I realized I simply don't have the time to care even if I wanted to (which I don't)), and, holy shit, he's basically a parody of a spoiled rich douchebag.

I was more interested in why or how someone can become as twisted as this Rodgers guy, but I'm afraid the answer in this particular case is probably pretty uninteresting, given his life's circumstances and his character's stereotypical qualities...

My problem is that I empathize with feelings of social isolation and depression resulting therefrom, but this guy is just too farcical to do much other than erode said empathy.

But that doesn't do much to help figure any policy solutions out or what-have-you.
